Customising notification sounds
Make notifications work for you with custom sounds and alerts.
Sound settings
Mobile app
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Tap Sounds
- Choose your preferences
Desktop/browser
Browser notifications use your system notification sound. Customise this in your operating system settings.
Available options
Sound on/off
Toggle sounds for different notification types:
- Messages
- Referral updates
- Job alerts
- Rewards
Vibration (mobile)
Choose vibration patterns:
- None
- Short
- Long
- Pattern
Sound selection
Choose from several notification sounds (mobile app):
- Default
- Chime
- Bell
- Pop
- None (silent)
Do Not Disturb
Respect system-wide Do Not Disturb settings:
- Honour DND - No notifications during DND
- Override DND - Only critical notifications
Custom settings per type
Set different sounds for different notification types so you know what's happening without looking:
- Messages - Subtle chime
- Rewards - Celebratory sound
- Security - Urgent alert
Accessibility
For users who can't rely on sound:
- Enable visual alerts
- Use strong vibration patterns
- Enable flash notifications (mobile)
