What employers see about you
Transparency matters. Here's exactly what employers can see when you make a referral.
When you refer someone
Employers see:
Your profile
- Name
- Profile photo
- Headline/bio
- Relevant work experience
Referral context
- How you indicated you know the candidate
- Any notes you added
- Your referral history with that employer
What employers can't see
Employers cannot see:
- Your contact information (unless you share it)
- Your other referrals to other companies
- Your reward earnings
- Your private notes
Your referral statistics
Employers may see aggregated stats like:
- Number of referrals you've made
- Your success rate (if high)
- Time you've been on the platform
This helps build trust in your referrals.
Controlling visibility
In Settings > Privacy, you can:
- Choose what work experience to show
- Show or hide your photo
- Control bio visibility
- Limit referral statistics
Why share anything?
Employers value knowing who's referring candidates:
- Industry insiders make better matches
- Professional referrers are trusted more
- Context helps evaluate candidates
A complete profile leads to more successful referrals.
