Managing your privacy settings
Control what information is visible and to whom.
Accessing privacy settings
Go to Settings > Privacy to manage all privacy options.
Profile visibility
Choose who can see your profile:
- Public - Anyone on Know Someone
- Connections only - Just your connections
- Private - Only you
Information controls
Decide what's visible on your profile:
- Full name or first name only
- Work history
- Profile photo
- Contact information
- Referral statistics
Employer visibility
When you refer someone, employers see:
- Your name
- Your profile photo
- Your headline/bio
- Your relevant experience
You can control some of these in privacy settings.
Search visibility
Control whether your profile appears in:
- Member searches
- Employer searches
- Connection suggestions
Data sharing
Manage how your data is used:
- Analytics and improvements
- Personalised recommendations
- Marketing communications
Export your data
Request a copy of all your data:
- Go to Settings > Privacy
- Click Export My Data
- We'll email you when it's ready
